The Arts Southampton Art School www.theartschool.org artschool@bmts.com 1-800-806-8838 or 519-797-5068 The Southampton Art School offers just about anything a senior interested in arts and crafts could ask for from using oils, acrylics, watercolour, pastels, encaustic -- carving, quilting, drawing, sculpting, cartooning, making mosaics, stained glass, or jewellery, designing an herb garden and even learning to cook gourmet meals. There are indoor and outdoor courses, five-day, five half-day, weekend, even one-day courses. Classes start in April (one day a week), then increase in frequency from June through September, and taper off in October. The atmosphere is relaxed, informal and nonthreatening.
